After closing the 2024 stopover season in our Cotentin port, the impressive cruise ship AIDANova, from the recognizable company on the mouth, returns to moor at the Quai de France, Tuesday January 07, from 7:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m., and will thus open the 2025 season!

Cherbourg-en-Cotentin will be the first French stopover on the itinerary for the 6400 passengers, mostly German, whose next stop will be at the port of Le Havre.

Boat features

The AIDANova is one of the two largest cruise ships operated by Aida, along with the AIDAcosma, the latter due to enter service during the 2022 season. This behemoth is the first ship in a class called Helios (or excellence according to the shipowners) and whose units have been distributed across different branches of the Carnival group, namely Aida, P&O Cruises, Costa and Carnival Cruise Lines. These highly environmentally friendly ships are powered entirely by LNG. They are built in two shipyards belonging to the German Mayer group, the Papenburg shipyard (Germany) and the Turku shipyard (Finland). © Association Paquebots & Marine Marchande
