On June 8 and 13, 1944, the city was largely destroyed by Allied bombing. The city regained its freedom on July 27, 1944, more than 50 days after the Landing on the beaches. With 80% of the city destroyed, its appearance changed with the architecture of the Reconstruction. This visit highlights the BEFORE and AFTER the war: -With the remains of the city of the past still present, -By understanding the architecture of the Reconstruction.
