Storyteller and musician, François Vincent revisits tales and myths from oral tradition in a contemporary and musical language. He joyfully mixes spoken and sung while playing the guitar, in the style of talk'in blues. Over time and shows, he has created a completely original style, mischievously playing with meaning and sound. He likes the spoken word as a musical playground, enjoys writing texts that are at once imaginative, sonorous and meaningful.
I started by telling this story solo, then, as the album project was born, I began to imagine it in a sound environment that I would call "oriental reggae-dub". Manu Chehab, for his part, had already largely experimented with the concept of oriental dub with his own group, Elek Traum. Our meeting bore fruit and he was able to give the album the sound that I had in mind.
