Three strong musical personalities, and better still three formidable singularities, known for their totally invested participation in a host of music without blinkers. Here everything is played out in the nuance as much as in the brilliance. Melodies of sweetness will collide with extreme excitements, all in a perfect human balance as much aesthetic. Denis Charolles, a great expert in crashing, holds back the horses of his team (where his inevitable very big bass drum is located); Christiane Bopp offers us a dynamic of extreme breadth, and great finesse, with playing modes of infinite variety; and Sophia Domancich takes us through all the stories of all the pianos, with a confounding relevance and inventiveness. The music circulates from the written to the improvised without it always being possible for the public to perceive the border.
Since meeting on France Musique in February 2018 for Anne Montaron's show "À l'improviste", these three have woven their languages to create "Les jours rallongent".
