On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and in connection with the “System D-[Day]” exhibition. When Norman farmers reuse military equipment from the Second World War” presented at the Cotentin farm-museum from June 2024, the Azeville battery has set up a photography trail.
To discover during your visit to the site, from April 15, 2024: the photos will illustrate how the Manche agricultural world appropriated the remains of the 1939-1945 war.
Some examples to discover:
• An agricultural trailer equipped with American GMC truck wheels,
• A dog kennel made from a German trench prison,
• The firing chamber of a casemate used as a shelter for horses,
• Glider ramps installed as a structural element.
