Exposition « Secrets d’herboriste, les (super) pouvoirs des plantes locales » – Manoir du Tourp

THE HAGUE
| Omonville-la-Rogue
– Le Tourp
· House of the Hague
Since the dawn of time, Man has been able to take advantage of the plant resources offered by nature for food, heating and shelter. Thanks to his instinct, his sense of observation and experimentation, he discovered and exploited the various beneficial effects of wild plants on his health. It is this close and constantly renewed relationship between Man and plants that this exhibition aims to explore: the use of plants through the ages, popular beliefs, the herbalist profession, ancient recipes and modern herbal remedies... So many themes which will be addressed in settings evoking the world of herbalism, enriched with ancient objects and tools, but also with fun and interactive modules to discover all the secrets of wild herbs.
by Mickaël Mary, farmer-herbalist
