Between humor and depth, Sylvain Riéjou (re)visits the figure of the love duet. He questions the sensual power of dance and the place it holds in the romantic encounter.
He invites two dancers and a male dancer to explore with him the imaginaries of the 80s/90s – from La Boum to Dirty Dancing – which participated in the construction, through mimicry or opposition, of their identities.
He signs a show full of nuance, deeply human and sensitive. Laughter bursts forth of course, but with intelligence and delicacy, the choreographer gets the message across: love has no gender, no sex. It is simply universal.
With humor and accuracy, in a pop universe bathed in quotes and film music, Sylvain Riéjou draws a new popular grammar of the loving duo, to finally feel free to run the world after one's destiny like a wild horse!
