Le Trident : La Grande Dépression

CHERBOURG-EN-COTENTIN
– 123 avenue de Paris
· Le VOX Room
When Mickey meets Adolf…

A depressed young man compares the medicinal remedies offered to him with the collective remedies provided in the 30s for the Great Depression.

On one continent, Walter Disney wants to reduce all of reality to an enchanted universe. On another continent, National Socialists put a terrifying ideology to music. In this theatrical journey, we will meet: Nazi musicologists, cartoon colorists, Mickey Mouse plush toys, amusement parks, SS men in professional retraining, blind projectionists, wandering planets, Disney and Goebbels... more than 50 characters! Let's pray that our young depressive gets through this!

Raphaël Gautier and Aymeline Alix manage to mischievously suggest that the history of a society is reflected in the internal history of each individual. Biting humor, imagination and poetry on the menu, enjoy!

A show rehearsed and created at the Trident Scène Nationale. Raphaël Gauthier's text was the favorite of the reading committee of the Comédie Française 2024.

First at the Trident!
