Le Trident : Mort d'un commis voyageur
“Somewhere not far from Brooklyn, in the 40s.”
Willy Loman has been a traveling salesman for over thirty years. Married to Linda and father of two grown children, he has always spent his days away from home, traveling the roads and fighting to win new customers.
Today, he is an exhausted man, faced with a society he no longer understands: the business world in particular has been transformed, and Willy struggles to maintain the performance expected of him.
Locked in the past and subject to fits of confusion, he nevertheless seems galvanized by the return home of the prodigal son: Biff. His last hopes now rest on his elder whom he admires more than anything and on whom he projects great ambitions.
A great “classic” by the American playwright Arthur Miller, written in 1949 and adapted many times for film and television.
