Le Trident : Simple
The most difficult thing is to make a simple object that says everything without being verbose!
A piece with a deliberately restricted vocabulary for three astonished and always moving performers. In complicity, with the deeply human sincerity of the Idiot, the Naive or the Child, they create a space where everything is possible, from the senseless to the dreamlike. Repetitive, constantly redistributed, re-envisioned, the dance functions as an astonishing game of rhythms and constructions where laughter quickly invites itself. The dancers, in tight and speckled jumpsuits, tirelessly repeat with bewildered facial expressions, the same dance phrases. The set with its pop lights participates in this choreography, built on the energy and absurdity of comical situations that the three friends cannot control. Have you ever seen a dance show that, without a word, without music, triggers irrepressible waves of laughter in the audience?
"A comic bomb between cartoon and Merce Cunningham" Libération.
“A strangely inspired performance that is as much a parody as a pastiche.” Scèneweb.
Duration: 50 min.
