Barfleur and the sea… The entire history of the town is centered around it: first its name, given by the Vikings who came by boat from the north more than 1000 years ago, then its development in the Middle Ages thanks to shipbuilding and fishing. Barfleur, with its multiple palettes of colors changing with the tides, has inspired artists who have set up their easels there.
