In the 20th century, the nuclear sector will develop in Cotentin and bring new industrial dynamism to the region. Among the sites present, that of Andra (National Agency for the Management of Radioactive Waste), the first radioactive waste storage site in France.
A visit to its facilities allows you to discuss the management of radioactive waste, the continuous monitoring carried out on the environment (water, air and plants), but also to show how the memory of the site is transmitted to future generations.
Duration: 2 hours – recommended for ages 6 and up.
Reservation required with the Cotentin Tourist Office.
Identity document required (for those over 18 years old).
