On January 10, 2020, the Manche prefecture classified the Cotentin Tourist Office in Category 2.
Promulgated by Prefectural Order and for a period of 5 years, this decision follows the submission of a request file last fall.
This classification will allow municipalities that wish to do so and meet the criteria to classify themselves as a Tourist Municipality.
The objective of the Cotentin Tourist Office is to soon be classified in Category 1, the highest, in line with the ambition of the Cotentin Urban Community, as well as the size and broad missions of the structure. supported by the Cotentin Tourist Development SPL.
For this objective, obtaining the Qualité Tourisme mark is a necessary step.
