Comptoir des Halles

Le Comptoir des Halles is an essential address in downtown Cherbourg.

Located between the footbridge, the library and the Thomas Henry municipal museum (the Quasar), it includes in the same place, a butcher-charcuterie-caterer, a grocery store, a wine cellar, a greengrocer, a cheese creamery area and a restaurant .

Stamped Manche Terroirs, the Comptoir des Halles mainly hosts local products: from special Lestre oysters, to cider, lemonade, beer, biscuits, honey, vegetables, fruits, meat, Cherbourg salmon and cheeses, but also other taste surprises.

On the Restaurant side, you will be welcomed in a large room with natural lighting, a warm atmosphere or on a terrace facing south or west as you wish.
2 dishes of the day will be offered to you to choose from, either based on meat or fish, or opt for salad in summer and soup in winter, or for the butcher's cut or of course for special oysters.
How about a nice cup of local afternoon tea with a homemade pastry.
Finally, to discover urgently, our Sunday morning BRUNCH from 10:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m.! (by reservation).

Le Comptoir is also a place for exchange and sharing. On the 1st Thursday of each month, you can join authors from Cotentin and participate in interviews in Norman, on the 2nd Thursday of each month. We share with our hanging meals and coffees and our solidarity fridge.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 19 p.m., Sunday from 00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
