On Monday, October 21, the small cruise ship Artania, from the Phoenix Reisen company, will call at our Cotentin port from 05:30 to 20:00. This unplanned stopover, due to bad weather conditions, will nevertheless be an opportunity for its 1118 passengers, mainly German, to enjoy the city center of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, the Les Eléis shopping center, and to explore the Cotentin region for the more adventurous! Cherbourg will be the only French stopover on the itinerary, for this cruise whose stops will be mainly Portuguese and Spanish

Built in Finland in 1984, this superb liner entered service on behalf of Princess Cruises, under the name ROYAL PRINCESS for the Princess Cruises company. It was christened by Lady Diana in Southampton. With its 44.588 tonnes, it was the largest British liner before the QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 at the time, 20 years later it had become the smallest liner of Princess Cruises….
