Overview

At the very end of the Cotentin, against all odds, lies an incredible oasis bringing together more than 1200 species of plants native to the southern hemisphere.
Covering an area of 4,5 hectares, the Vauville Botanical Garden is a journey to the end of the world in the Normandy latitudes: a succession of green rooms as exotic as they are surprising. Discover the trachycarpus fortunei palm groves of China, the moats where the royal ferns of Tasmania stand, the imposing pool of gunneras manicata of Brazil, the eucalyptus of the wisdom pool or the scents of the exotic garden... Thanks to the Gulf stream, a warm current of the Atlantic which passes off the coast of Vauville, since 1948 fascinating tropical species have been growing there which have been able to acclimatize thanks to the creator of this little paradise, the botanist and perfumer Eric Pellerin. A true feat of nature, the Vauville Botanical Garden is distinguished by its collection of rare evergreen plants and trees and offers all year round a panorama whose colors blend with the sea and wild moors.
More than a flower garden, you will find a set of astonishing and original botanical species, each shoot of which was born in Vauville and represents a real challenge of adaptation. In the footsteps of the passionate and talented Guillaume Pellerin, who with his wife Cléophée de Turckheim created the garden as you admire it today, their son Eric Pellerin, continues the beautification of this setting and is happy to welcome you throughout. throughout the season to share his passion with you.
