Greenways
The greenways are partly old railway lines rehabilitated into cycle paths, secured and sheltered from car traffic, shared with horse riders, carriages and hikers.
They allow families to set off quietly to discover the natural and historical heritage of the Cotentin, such as the castle of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte or that of Bricquebec, Saint Vaast la Hougue, its port and the Vauban towers, as well as the local area. During a break, enjoy, along the way, the good products of the Cotentin such as the brioche du Vaast or the biscuits of Quinéville.
Bike paths
2 wheels can cross Cherbourg-en-Cotentin from East to West following cycle paths between Querqueville and Tourlaville.
Réville, Valognes, Quettehou, Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Barneville-Carteret… many municipalities in Cotentin have set up 30 km/h traffic zones and a whole network of cycle paths and lanes, allowing you to cycle in complete safety .
