Tuesday November 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m., the ARTANIA is on its inaugural call at the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin with approximately 890 passengers on board. This is the second stopover for the Phoenix Reisen company in the Cotentin this year, after that of AMERA on October 11.

The ARTANIA was the first liner purpose-built for Princess Cruises like ROYAL PRINCESS, inaugurated in 1984 by the Princess of Wales, Lady Diana. She will be transferred to the P&O Cruises fleet in June 2005 to become the ARTEMIS. It is then exclusively reserved for adults. Finally sold in September 2009 to Phoenix Reisen, it remained in operation until its delivery by the P&O in April 2011, then underwent an overhaul in German shipyards before returning to service. @Ammlehavre
