Wednesday, December 6, the ship AIDANova, from the recognizable, mouthy company AIDA Cruises, and its 5 German passengers will stop at our Cotentin port from 700:09 a.m. to 00:20 p.m. This date is all the more symbolic since it is Saint Nicholas Day, a holiday joyfully celebrated in Germany! During the month of December, cruise passengers will be able to enjoy numerous Christmas activities and festivities offered in the cruise terminal, in the city center and at the Les Eleis shopping center.

Barring an unforeseen arrival, the giant of the seas AIDANova will close the 2023 season of cruise ship calls in the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. His next visit will open the 2024 season!

Boat features

The AIDANova is one of the two largest liners operated by Aida with the AIDAcosma, the latter due to be put into service during the 2022 season. This behemoth is the first ship in a class called Helios (or excellence according to the shipowners ) and whose units were distributed across different branches of the Carnival group, namely Aida, P&O Cruises, Costa and Carnival Cruise Lines. These very ecological ships are powered entirely by LNG. The excursions will have as their destination Mont Saint-Michel, my landing beaches, the Val de Saire, Cap de la Hague and Cherbourg.

Services offered:
- Information Desk at the Cruise Terminal from 09:00 a.m. to 18:30 p.m.;
- Presence of a representative from La Cité de la Mer in the morning;
- Cruise Greeters present to guide and accompany passengers;
- Photo exhibition entitled “Treasures and lights of Cotentin” by Arnaud Guérin;
- Shuttle service will provide from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. the connection between the Cruise Terminal and the city center, in collaboration with Cap Cotentin;
