The cruise ship AIDA Prima, from the recognizable company AIDA Cruises, will be back in the dock of the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. The latter will be moored at the Quai de France from 8:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. The city of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin will be the second French and Norman stopover for the 3 passengers, mainly German, coming from the port of Le Havre.

Boat features

A prototype of the Hyperion class, the AIDAPrima was built at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard in Nagasaki, which delivered the ship at the end of April 2016, one year late. It is the first cruise ship with a hybrid NG/diesel propulsion, but this is not the only technological and ecological innovation it is equipped with. It also has the MALS (Mitsubishi Air Lubrication System) which propels air over a large surface area under the hull, allowing fuel savings of around 7%. © Association Paquebots & Marine Marchande
