A surprise stopover is on the cruise ship schedule for the beginning of October in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. The cruise ship Caribbean Princess will make its inaugural stopover this Wednesday, October 09 and will be docked at the Quai de France from 08:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. with nearly 3 passengers on board. Our beautiful city in the Cotentin will be the first and only French destination on the itinerary. After this stopover, the ship will sail along the Atlantic coast to reach its final destination of Civitavecchia – Rome.

Boat features

Originally ordered for P&O Cruises, it will finally be delivered to Princess Cruises, remaining intended mainly for the British market. It still carries at the back what looks like a "trolley handle", a structure that houses the discotheque. This was removed at the end of 2011 from its sister ship the GRAND PRINCESS. The CARIBBEAN PRINCESS was christened by the actress Jill Whelan in a nod to the soap opera "The Love Boat", where she played the role of the daughter of Commander Stubing. © Association Paquebots & Marine Marchande
