The current 3rd largest European liner, the MSC VIRTUOSA, will make its inaugural stopover at the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, this Sunday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 20 p.m.
More than 3 passengers are expected on board, the majority of them British nationals.
The city of Cherbourg will be one of the two stops on this cruise, but above all the only French port on the itinerary!
Derived from the MSC MERAVIGLIA, this series of liners was ordered by MSC from the Saint-Nazaire shipyard. They have the particularity of being hybrid, being able to run on LNG.
These are the largest liners built for the Italian-Swiss company at the moment, before the delivery of the World Class, the prototype of which, the MSC EUROPA, will be put into service in 2023. © Association APPM
Its name Virtuosa pays tribute to the skill and expertise of the architects and partners of the MSC Cruises shipyard as well as the Atlantic shipyards who designed and built this innovative class of ships.

The excursions will be provided by the Tour Operator Intercruises.
Day trips to Mont Saint-Michel and the Landing Beaches with Sainte Mère-Eglise and Utah are offered; for half a day, the Val de Saire and the Cap de la Hague.
Passengers will be able to benefit from the services set up by the Cotentin Tourist Office
The Information Office at the Cruise Terminal from 11:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. | Visit from a representative of the Cité de la Mer from 11:30 a.m. to 13:30 a.m.
Cruise Greeters will be present to guide passengers during the stopover.
A photo exhibition entitled “Treasures and lights of Cotentin” by Arnaud Guérin accessible to cruise passengers throughout the duration of the stopover at the Cruise Terminal.
A shuttle will provide the connection between the Cruise Terminal and the city center from 11:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. in partnership with Cap Cotentin.
