Summer 2021 will focus on the sea, with 4 major competitions and activities for families.
With 17 nautical bases, kilometers of beaches and six marinas, the sea is one of the main tourist assets of Cotentin. The Urban Community has chosen to make it the major sector of its tourism development strategy.
Throughout the summer, the water sports centers will be mobilized to allow you to discover all possible practices and whatever your level: surfing, kayaking, rowing, kiting, sailing, etc. The Cotentin hosts major sporting events open to all as well as activities on the beaches such as the skim school tour or the lifeguard tour.

Skim School Tour
From 10 a.m. to 18 p.m., the Mauna Kea association offers free skimboard initiations for the whole family, demonstrations by national-class champions, a “Respect your Beach” exhibition and a balance area with workshops to work on proprioception Skim .

Lifeguard Tour
The ASES association offers to step into the shoes of rescuers for a day.
You will be able to learn about rescue and first aid techniques, learn life-saving gestures and discover a new sporting discipline (sports rescue) and the role of the rescuer in the rescue chain.
Sports rescue workshops (buoy tube, rescue board) and a challenge on a spectacular event, the beach flag, await you.
