By car
The RN13 (2x 2 lanes) from Paris – Caen is free, it joins the RN176 for Saint-Lô and the A84. The tourist route (D650) offers unique landscapes which cross the Manche department from Avranches to Cherbourg.
By bus
The lines Nomad serve the entire Manche Department and the Normandy Region.
Cherbourg-Rennes line
Cap Cotentin connects Normandy and Brittany with the Cherbourg <> Rennes line! This service offers direct journeys in less than 3 hours, between the bus stations of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin and Rennes. Accessible to all and by reservation, the line includes two return trips per day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Prices of €15 (for those over 18 years old), €10 (between 3 and 17 years old) and free (for under 3s).
By train
The train is the choice for more environmentally friendly mobility, emitting 80% less CO2e, on average for an equivalent journey by car.
The train journey between Valognes and Cherbourg is included in the offer Cap Cotentin. With a Cap Cotentin transport ticket, it is possible to travel between the Valognes and Cherbourg-en-Cotentin stations for €1.
At the beginning from Saint-Lazare station, Nomad trains on the Paris-Caen-Cherbourg line serve the towns of Carentan, Valognes and Cherbourg-en-Cotentin in particular. Cherbourg train station is located in the city center.
