The 2024 season of inaugural stopovers comes to an end with the arrival of theARVIA from the cruise company P&O Cruises. The 344-metre-long ship will enter the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin on Thursday 24 October 2024. Nearly 5 mainly British passengers will make a stopover in Cotentin as part of a mini-cruise departing from Southampton. Cherbourg will be the only French destination on the itinerary. The ship will reveal its silhouette from 700am to 07pm at the Quai de France.

THEARVIA, the flagship of the British company P&O Cruises, is one of the largest cruise ships operating in Europe. She entered service on 22 December 2022 from Southampton. The excursions will take in Mont Saint-Michel, the Landing beaches, Sainte-Mère-Église and Utah Beach, Val de Saire, Cap de la Hague, Bayeux, Cherbourg on foot.

  • Presence of a representative of La Cité de la Mer in the morning;
  • Cruise Greeters present to guide and accompany passengers;
  • Shuttle service will be provided by the Tour Operator BLB Cruises & Shorex and will provide a connection between the Cruise Terminal and the city center.
