Description
Located in the heart of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes Regional Natural Park, the route runs alongside some beautiful manor houses and crosses hamlets with mud-built houses, typical of the region, among the most beautiful in the Park. The circuit oscillates between bocage and marshes. A family walk par excellence, the route is easy and has very low elevation changes. The paths taken are typical of the Lower Normandy bocage composed of meadows, a few cultivated fields limited by hedges and embankments where streams and sunken paths meander. Various aspects of traditional marsh country architecture are present on the circuit. Several buildings without foundations with walls made of stone and mass (clay and straw) still bear witness to an ancient method of construction, the so-called “cob” technique.
