LA BARJO, JUNE 14 AND 15, 2025
The trails of La Barjo are mainly concentrated in the town of La Hague, paths on the side of steep cliffs, along the coast, on the famous GR®223, nicknamed the “Sentier des Douaniers”. It allows trail runners to discover the fauna and flora of the Hague trails and its diverse landscapes which follow one another between climbs and descents. The must-sees such as the Goury Lighthouse, the Nez de Jobourg, and the Port Racine come into view during the races to take in your eyes.
The two races forming part of the Cotentin Trail Challenge are the following :
- 14 June: The Brin de Folie Trail (26 km),
- 15 June: The 1/2 Barjo Trail (50 km).
The event takes place over the entire day in self-sufficiency, trail runners must manage their races and their physical states. It therefore plans several trails over different distances. The most experienced and beginners alike are invited to participate in the event and can choose their routes according to difficulty.
BARJO EVENT DISTANCES
- Archangel Raid: starting on June 12, this event takes place over a total distance of 300 km with an overall positive altitude difference of around 6000 m.
- Ultra Trail: June 15, with a distance of 80 km in a single stage on marked paths, the maximum time for the event is set at 13:30 p.m.
- The 1/2 Barjo Trail: June 15, this event takes place on 50 km, the maximum time for the event is set at 8:20 a.m. including breaks and scoring. This trail is part of the Cotentin Trail XL Challenge.
- The Brin de Folie Trail: June 14, with a distance of 26 km, the maximum time for the event is set at 4:30 hours, including refreshment breaks and scores. This trail is part of the Cotentin Trail L Challenge,
- The little Barjo Nature Course: June 15, with a distance of 15 km.
