In the heart of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes Natural Park, between Carentan and Sainte-Mère-Eglise, this destination will surprise you with its changing landscapes throughout the seasons. In fine weather, vast meadows stretch out as far as the eye can see and in winter, water gradually invades the fields – hence the name “white marshes”. With its church on the banks of the river, Liesville sur Douve is a picturesque village. The Anguille bar (open all year round and located nearby) is quite successful because it is an unusual place to have a drink. Further on, the pier for river cruises awaits you... Natacha welcomes you to this completely renovated gîte, near the farm that she manages with her husband. Visiting the farm and purchasing farm products (meat, organic vegetables, dairy products, cider/pommeau) are possible. You even have your old-fashioned milk jug, to collect fresh milk from your morning milking.
