In the immediate vicinity of the town center of Carentan, the center of the 1944 Landings (all services and marina) this residence has been completely redeveloped by the owners (owners' house and 2 other small gîtes on the site). Formerly a bed and breakfast address, the house has numerous bedrooms and bathrooms with old parquet floors, served upstairs by a long corridor. The ground floor has been redesigned in a more contemporary way, notably with the large living room extended by a veranda. A small enclosed and private green park, complete with fish ponds and terraces, offers an appreciable outdoor space for relaxation. Close to the emblematic sites of D Day (Ste Mère Eglise, Utah and Omaha beach, etc.), memory tourism is essential in the region.
