This week we are going to discover a cider house!

At Theo Capelle, you will be welcomed like in a restaurant! Between tasting around the fire and visiting, a very friendly atmosphere awaits you.

Visits with at the beginning, two videos concerning the history of the family, the picking of apples but also the manufacturing process; then followed by a 30-minute walk in the cellar where the fermentation of apple juice, cider, calva and also vinegar is explained to you. Our enthusiast welcomes groups of 6 to 8 people.

It was in 2008 that Ludovic Capelle trained in cider making and took up the famous “ Théo Capelle Cider House » created by his father Théo in the 80s.

How to choose the right cider

The vintage is four years of aging for the cider, a good cider has a vintage of one year!

To enjoy a good glass of cider, you have to combine it with oysters, Camembert and why not pre-salted lamb: a good mix of flavors while being in good company!

In Cotentin, brut or extra brut cider is consumed during the meal.

The cider house innovates in new products such as Cotentinois, ice cider which is a frozen cider concentrate called “Le Kapel Ice”, but also balsamic vinegar.
