Overview
The Land of Art and History of Clos du Cotentin provides its team of twelve tour guides to welcome groups and introduce you to the riches of the local heritage. Our interventions can be limited to an hour-long visit or developed in the form of a half-day or full-day excursion. Themes and content of the visits adapted according to the visitors' choice.
Guided tours, excursions and thematic conferences to discover the heritage and cultural riches of Clos du Cotentin. Our offer extends from Roman antiquity (thermal baths and remains of the city of Alauna) to post-war Reconstruction, including Scandinavian heritage and medieval castles (fortresses of Bricquebec). and Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte), the Renaissance manors and religious art (including the abbeys of Valognes, Bricquebec and Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte), as well as the Valognese mansions of the 17th and 18th centuries, museums (Valognes Cider Museum, Barbey d'Aurevilly museum in Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte) and literary heritage (Gilles de Gouberville, Jules Barbey d'Aurevilly). Educational tours and workshops are also offered.
