Founded in 1629 for a community of Benedictine sisters, Valognes Abbey received an enthusiastic welcome from the population and obtained a patent of protection from King Louis XIII in 1646. Following the Revolution of 1789, the sisters were expelled and the building was transformed into a hospital-hospice. This ensemble from the Baroque age, organized around the cloister, presents a remarkable stylistic unity. Guided tours following the program of the Land of Art and History of Clos du Cotentin and by reservation for adult groups and school groups. Current hospital.
