Memorial site in homage to General Patton and his Third US Army.
Arriving secretly on July 06, 1944, it was under this apple orchard that the general prepared Operation COBRA – the Avranches Breakthrough before being named leader of the Third US Army.
The General PATTON Souvenir Association, founded in 1988 on the initiative of Jean-Baptiste TYSON, perpetuates the memory of the presence of General PATTON's armed troops in NEHOU. Since then, presidents and members have succeeded one another with passion to guarantee the continuity of the association in collaboration with Helen Patton.
