Presentation
Located in the heart of Cotentin, Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte is famous for its medieval castle which was twice besieged during the Hundred Years' War. Today it retains part of its fortified enclosure, flanked by towers and dominated by an imposing keep, built during the Hundred Years' War by the King of England.
Classified as a Historic Monument since 1840, a visit to the castle allows you to discover the imposing Keep, the prison courtyard and the Robessart dwelling.
Guided tours are organized throughout the year by the Land of Art and History of Clos du Cotentin. For groups, you must contact the Pays d’art et d’histoire du Clos du Cotentin on 02 33 95 01 26 or by email: [email protected]
