From the atom to electricity production: EDF Flamanville. Installed in the hollow of a cliff on the west coast of Cotentin, the Flamanville Nuclear Center for Electricity Production is a high-tech site. Nearly 800 EDF employees and more than 400 employees of partner companies work there to produce electricity day and night in complete safety and security.
The Flamanville Discovery Space offers more than 400 m² dedicated to electricity production and nuclear energy. Through models and educational and fun activities, the Discovery Space presents the operation of the power plant and that of the EPR reactor, the history of energy, the different modes of electricity production, renewable energies, environmental monitoring and nuclear professions. A belvedere offers a panoramic view of the production site.
Wearing a mask is compulsory from 11 years old.
