Overview

Notre-Dame Church. Classified as a Historic Monument, it was built in the 11th century. From the Romanesque period only the west portal, the lower part of the pillars, the four main pillars of the transept crossing with the Romanesque arcades remain. Beautiful collection of recently restored paintings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
Notre-Dame Grand Organ. It was reborn in 1990. Classified as a Historic Monument for the buffet and the piping, it has just been restored according to the classic spirit of the end of the XNUMXth century.
This building is part of a heritage circuit in the heart of the old town entitled “The Treasures of Carentan”.
