Overview
A small piece of land located on the east coast of Cotentin, Tatihou Island is dominated by the massive silhouette of the Vauban Tower, a stone sentinel and jewel of coastal military architecture, built to the plans of the engineer Vauban.
A short distance away, on the other side of the bay of Saint-Vaast, the Tour de la Hougue, perched on its promontory, reinforces it to protect this beautiful harbor which Vauban defined as: “the best and safest in the kingdom” .
Since July 7, 2008, these two towers have been listed as UNESCO world heritage sites.
The boat return and return times are adapted each day depending on the tide. For any information and reservations, please contact 02 14 29 03 34.
