Overview

The only "archaeological" memorial museum in Normandy of the famous Battle of Bloody Gulch which opposed from June 12 to 13, 1944, the American paratroopers of the Easy Company and the 17th Panzer Grenade Division aided by German paratroopers who had taken the Donville manor as a post forward command. More than 12 tons of material were found on site. The visitor will be able to discover, in the company of the owner, these moving remains remaining in their state in the earth as well as the battlefield and the interiors of the manor which preserves on its floors the traces of the hand-to-hand combat as they have been mentioned. in Spielberg's film Saving Private Ryan.
Events are offered each year: in June an interactive night cinema theater show with a US reenactment camp (tanks, German vehicles), in September and October ghost and ghost evenings. Refer to the news section of the website www.museebloodygulch.com
