Between June 23 and July 26, 2020, the Tourist Office distributed 9 Cotentin checks to tourists who come to stay in our territory and 2 500 to CCAS beneficiaries and staff on integration projects and workshops.
At the same time, from June 23 to date, 17 Evasion 458 checks were given to customers of Cotentin hosts; this figure representing approximately 43% of checks awarded across the Manche department.
We can already say that these operations to revive tourist activity in the Cotentin are experiencing real success both among tourists and our partners.
From now on, we are recording numerous requests for reimbursement of Cotentin Checks and note that this means of payment is widely used throughout the destination and on numerous tourist offers: catering, commercial and leisure activities, sites and places to visit, …
The use of these checks certainly shows the mobility of visitors in the territory. Thus, we observe, for example, that checks withdrawn by tourists at the Cherbourg office were used at partners in La Hague, Côte des Isles, Val de Saire, Clos du Cotentin and Baie du Cotentin. Furthermore, the booklet given to beneficiaries and the website page continue to ensure optimal promotion of offers eligible for Cotentin Checks which, remember, can be used until December 31.
Finally, several partners have expressed their satisfaction with these initiatives; Everyone is unanimous in saying that Evasion 50 Checks coupled with Cotentin Checks generate additional revenue and give a very positive image of our territory.
There is no doubt that in 2020, Cotentin is certainly “the destination” popular with tourists and for more than one reason!
