The furnished tourist accommodation > Grande & Petite Duckerie is one of the many Cotentin vacation rentals presented by the Cotentin Tourist Office.

On our site, you will find all the information to organize your stay in Cotentin : restaurants, activities, museums, etc.

La Grande & Petite Duckerie are an integral part of La Duckerie, a large renovated farmhouse, with 5 beautiful gîtes with incomparable charm.
Located in Tamerville, in the heart of the beautiful Normandy countryside, they are also close to the beaches of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and Cherbourg-
These 5 gîtes with authentic charm can be rented together or separately, you will not be promiscuous or overlooked.
Each of them is independent and has its own private entrance with terrace, garden and parking.

Situation
This superb authentic farmhouse, La Duckerie, is also a reference to ducks.

Ideally located, the cottage is:

Only 3 hours 40 hours from Paris by car or train (Valognes station is 3 km away).
20 minutes from the sea and the most beautiful villages in France, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and Barfleur, 2 charming villages known for the oysters and mussels they produce.
During a program presented by Stéphane Bern, on France 2, Barfleur became “the 3rd favorite village of the French”.

10 minutes from Tatihou Island and its famous Vauban towers, from Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, by amphibious boat.
25 min from Cherbourg (the City of the Sea)
30 minutes from The Hague, called Norman Ireland
The location is also perfect for visiting Cotentin, the landing beaches, the English Channel...
Barfleur is classified among the Most Beautiful Villages in France and commonly called “The pearl of Val de Saire”
It is a small traditional beaching port, where fishing and pleasure boats come together. The first port of the Anglo-Norman kingdom in the Middle Ages, this picturesque and characterful village is steeped in history
If the Val de Saire is inseparable from the Cotentin (Manche), Barfleur stands out, being the only city in the department classified among the 172 most beautiful villages in France

Cozy-chic

Great Duckerie
With its rustic-country chic style, it exudes a lot of soul, an old-fashioned, warm atmosphere.
You access it through a large wrought iron gate, found by Jennifer, and you park in front of the cottage.
No one will see you on your terrace.
You will also have your games room.
And guess what his former life was like?
Former woodshed and garage of the house!
This house is decorated, in part, with Jennifer's own furniture. She left them after living there.
In the red room, enjoy sitting on your great-grandparents’ sofa
Or, admire his grandmother's chandelier in the royal bedroom!
This house really has a soul.
You will feel at home.

The Little Duckerie
Its friendly workshop style from the 19th century will undoubtedly charm you.
You will benefit from your private parking and will reach your cottage through a small gate and a private driveway, without passing under the windows of other guests.
Your terrace will be sheltered from neighboring eyes.
When designing this cottage, Jennifer only had one idea in mind… integrating a black grand piano.
But the task was likely to be difficult. Adding a piano to a 40 m² living room, in the middle of the kitchen, the living room and a library, was no easy feat!
Nothing is impossible for Jennifer when “decoration”, “layout” and “enhance your accommodation” come together in the same sentence.
And it works !
The grand piano has found its place and the black lacquered kitchen matches the color of the instrument.
A homemade library, with integrated lighting system, purchase of numerous old books, a fireplace, this charming literature corner exudes a peaceful atmosphere conducive to reading.
A chiseled wrought iron staircase will lead you to the very cozy bedroom and bathroom.
4 years ago, while shopping, Jennifer had discovered a superb original bathtub, brown, round, spacious... Big crush.
This bathtub never really found its place in other places.
It will be ideally integrated into the bathroom of the Petite Duckerie.
