And the Sea Began to Burn is an acrobatic and cinematic fiction telling the story of half-brothers who meet for the first time at the funeral of their father, who disappeared at sea. Sido, born in the suburbs of Paris, does not know his father. He does not even know what he looks like. He has only one idea in mind: to put an image on this man who abandoned him as a child. There, he meets Rémi, a little brother with a hot head, as weird as he is clingy. Between fantasies and flashbacks, the two go in search of their roots to better understand who this ghost is that connects them in spite of themselves.

Inspired by the codes of storytelling, AND THE SEA STARTED TO BURN is a circus piece of storytelling that questions the fraternal bond, mourning and the pitfall of virility at an age when we lock away our fears, our hearts and our emotions.

As part of the Spring festival, in partnership with La Brèche, the Normandy circus center.
