Heritage of humanity, the ocean covers more than 70% of the Earth's surface. But if it fascinates us, do we really know it?
For his 3nd edition, the Grand Océan Festival invites young and old to discover, reflect, participate and act in the preservation of marine biodiversity.
Conferences & expert debates, fun & immersive activities, Grand Océan will meet you on September 13 and 14 at The City of La Mer in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.
Scientists & historians, sailors, explorers and lovers of the Ocean will share their expertise with the general public including

Entertainment for everyone in Réville on September 15
The festivities of Saturday evening (14/09) and Sunday (15/09) are organized with the help of the teams of the Equalants.
Saturday evening 20:15 p.m. in Reville – Outdoor screening and preview, at the back of the cinema, of the film “La Vallée des fous” by Xavier Beauvois with JP Rouve, Pierre Richard and Madeleine Beauvois. Deckchairs and benches available for 300 privileged people with food truck.

The closing day is organized by the association Les Egaluantes with the support of the Agglomeration of Cotentin and its partners.

GRAND OCEAN is initiated by Sciences et Avenir, a leading magazine in the scientific field, the renowned quarterly La Recherche (Challenges group), and the events hub Les Echos – Le Parisien with the financial support of local authorities:
