Two new access trails to the GR®223 from the towns of La Hague

Two hiking trails were opened at the start of summer 2022 in The Hague to connect towns and hamlets to the coast.

The SyMEL (Mixed Syndicate of Coastal Spaces of La Manche), the Coastal Conservatory, and the municipality of La Hague have joined forces to offer these trails.

The first path allows you to safely connect For babies (village, GR®223, beaches, etc.) and Beaumont-Hague (shops, services, buses, etc.). The walking path allows you to discover the moorland landscape and offers beautiful views, allowing you to take the D318 departmental road, particularly dangerous, or the municipal road via the Pouquelée stones site with a longer route.

  • Departure from Beaumont: at the picnic tables along the RD318 at the bottom of the entrance bridge in Beaumont-Hague: 49.65927561162237, -1.8419287972830456
  • Departure from Vauville: at the entrance to Vauville along the RD318, near the route des pierre pouquelées: 49.64635170921251, -1.8504563935120861
  • The second path is located at Gréville-Hague and connects the GR®223 near Castel Vendon to Hameau Cousin. This makes it possible to create a secure and shorter loop than those already proposed.
