The Vélomaritime® it's 1500km of cycle routes, on small shared roads and greenways from Dunkirk to Roscoff.
This route runs along the Channel Sea, based on three pillars: the marine world, sustainable development and local identities.
To promote this cycle route, the Vélomaritime® route committee is calling on applications from practitioners to become Vélomaritime® ambassadors and share their experiences around five major themes:

  • my first bike trip,
  • the fog lights,
  • gastronomy,
  • maritime heritage
  • and the encounter with the know-how of the territories which will subsequently serve to inspire future vocations.

After a first operation by Vélomaritime® Ambassadors in 2021, the route committee which brings together fourteen local authorities and their tourist institutions therefore renewed the experience in 2022.
Four projects were selected, including the Adelaide project which will cover the entire route from Dunkirk to Roscoff from September 5 to October 15.
An experienced cyclist, she has already made numerous cycling trips throughout Europe.
She will set off to discover local markets and coastal producers, whether farmers, breeders, artisans or fishermen.
Adelaide also wishes to promote cycling as a way to (re)discover our regions, to escape and travel in direct contact with nature

“I am passionate about cycling trips, I started in 2020 with small excursions for a day or a weekend and I realized that it was easy and accessible! I then covered slightly longer stages then in 2021, I went abroad and crossed 11 countries from France to Turkey, it was an incredible adventure! I get immense pleasure from cycling because I feel a sense of freedom from being outside and the satisfaction of moving forward thanks to physical effort. It is also for me the ideal way to discover a region by being in direct contact with nature, the landscapes and easily meeting people. During my trip on the Vélomaritime I will visit local producers in the markets, on farms and at sea. I am very attracted by the issues of sustainable food and short circuits and I find that it is a good way to get to know the territories! Do not hesitate to contact me to discuss or share a bit of the journey! »
