This summer, set off to discover La Hague and the Val de Saire every Monday and Friday!
Du 15 juillet au 23 aott 2024, the Cotentin Tourist Office invites you every Monday and Friday to discover grandiose landscapes and historical secrets of the territory. Board a 7-seater minibus with our guide Cécile for captivating tours.
DISCOVERING LA HAGUE
Grand! It is certainly the term which best describes the Cape of the Hague and its chiseled cliffs. A territory resembling Ireland, sculpted by sea spray, dotted with bucolic villages and valleys where sheep and cows graze in the open air. It is this atmosphere at the end of the world that captivated Jacques Prévert, so charmed by the Hague that he will never leave it.
“Little Ireland” as it is nicknamed, also reminds us of Scotland. For generations, legends of “Goubelins”, white ladies and wreckers have been whispered there…
A universe into which Cécile immerses you, during an exclusive and intimate excursion departing from Cherbourg. In a privileged setting, our expert explores with you this secret territory, candidate for the Unesco Geopark Label.

DISCOVERING THE VAL DE SAIRE
Barfleur, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue or Cape Levi are all soothing places that embody the sweetness of life in Cotentin. A life where time seems to pass peacefully, far from the worries of the world. However, by visiting the fortifications signed Vauban in Saint Vaast la Hougue, in particular the massive Tour de la Hougue, we suspect that History has sometimes disrupted this tranquility. Viking invasions, Kings-Dukes of Normandy, naval battles… this historical fresco fascinates Cécile, your guide!
